In this Elder Scrolls Online Races Guide, I will briefly describe the nine different playable races available in ESO. Each race will be limited to a faction, and each faction has three different playable races, which will be listed below.

Elder Scrolls Online Races – Daggerfall Covenant

RedguardOrcBreton

Redgaurd: Talented athletes and renowned warriors are two characteristics of the Redguard race. They make home in the Alik’r desert, with their capital

Orc: Fearless warriors of battle who live by a strict code of honor, the Orc race has been through countless struggles to prove that they are more than just barbaric beasts. The Daggerfall Covenant Faction was the major turning point that finally pushed Orcs into a more civilized race.being the city of Sentinel.

Bretons: The Bretons are currently the dominant race out of the three allied by the Daggerfall Covenant Faction. They are typically very resourceful, but have been described as arrogant. Bretons also mantain an outlook on life that values prosperity over glory.

Elder Scrolls Online Races Aldmeri Dominion

AltmerBosmerKhajiit

Altmer: The Altmers were the first race to setlle in Tamriel, and are also known as the High Elves. Being the oldest race, they naturally are the wisest and have their own sense of superiority due to them being around the longest.

Bosmer: Agile and curious defines the Bosmer race, also referred to as Wood Elves. They are strong hunters and guides, and excel in the art of stealth and thievery.

Khajiit: The only non-elf race of the Aldmeri Dominion Faction in ESO are the Khajiit, which are a feline rice. They originated from the Elsweyr desert and joined the Aldmeri Dominion after Queen Ayrenn helped rescue their people and assisted in restoring order to the land.

Elder Scrolls Online Races Ebonheart Pact

Nords: The head race of the Ebonheart Pact is the Nords, they are one of the most powerful and fierce races in all of Tamriel and are driven by their quest to be the rules of Tamriel.

Dunmer: Dunmers are a very strategic race, they take pride in their famous defenses against invasion tactics from enemies. They compliment the Nords very well since the Nords are so powerful and aggressive and the Dunmers are able to defend and keep the Nords focused on offense.

Argonians: Third on the list of Ebonheart Pact Faction Races in ESO is the Argonians, they use a style of “guerilla” warfare. One thing to note is that the Argonias were actually enslaved by the Dunmers at one point, which is why there is tension within the Alliance to this day.
